Karen Cordero is a Strong Tomorrows Coordinator at Amplify, where she supports expecting and parenting students in Tulsa schools. Before joining Amplify, Karen brought extensive experience supporting children, youth, and families in the Tulsa area through education, mental health, and community-based programs, with a background in family advocacy, bilingual support, and case management focused on connecting families to resources and helping them navigate systems. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies with a minor in Sociology and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work. Karen hopes to empower student parents to become the best parents they want to be through meaningful connection and advocacy, and she believes deeply in building trust with the families she serves. As the daughter of immigrant parents, she carries values of resilience, humility, and service into her work. Outside of work, Karen is a proud soccer mom who enjoys traveling with her husband and son and dancing.
