Sierra Carter is the Training Manager at Amplify, where she delivers evidence-based trainings and workshops for professionals across sectors who support young people. Sierra earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Oklahoma State University and maintains her credentials as a Certified Health Education Specialist. Before joining Amplify in June 2023, she spent nearly 12 years as an Adolescent Sexual Health Educator with the Tulsa Health Department’s PREP program, where she implemented sex education programs across Tulsa County school districts and youth serving organizations. She continues to serve as a nationally certified trainer for evidence-based intervention programs, facilitating best practices in sex education and positive youth development. What fuels Sierra’s passion for adolescent health is the incredible people she shares this work with, all collectively empowering young people to become their own best advocates. Outside of work, Sierra is proud to be the best mommy to her two daughters, enjoys catching up on her favorite shows, and regularly attends group fitness classes at the Y.

Tomas “Tammy” Delocéano is the Training & Outreach Coordinator at Amplify, where they focus on building skills to engage and uplift youth. Tammy is a charismatic, neurodivergent Latinx artist and youth advocate who joined Amplify in 2020. For over a decade, they have collaborated with young people to co-create award winning, nationally recognized programs, including body-positive fashion clubs, empowerment spaces, summer camps, and Amplify’s Youth Leadership Council. Tammy is certified to implement more than 15 evidence-based and evidence-informed curricula related to adolescent health and wellness. Drawing on their art background and what they call a Human Relations degree from the School of Life, Tammy champions the power of representation and youth voice, infusing their activism and trainings with creativity, compassion, and a drive to dismantle adultism and body negativity. Outside of work, Tammy loves expressing themself through photography, humor, and dance, is learning to vogue with the ballroom scene, and is a big fan of the Simpsons, Shakira, and their cat, Lumpy.

Jennifer Briggs is the Director of Learning and Impact at Amplify, where she oversees programming, guiding the organization’s strategy for training, program development, evaluation, and the direct service initiatives that support youth across Tulsa. Jenny is a lifelong Tulsan who grew up without access to high quality sex education, teen clinics, or support for parenting teens, and saw firsthand how that gap made growing up harder for herself and her peers. She graduated from Memorial High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma, and is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Before her current role, Jenny taught sex education through the Carrera Program at Union Public Schools and completed social work practicum placements with Tulsa CARES, Youth Services of Tulsa, and the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau. With more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of public health, youth development, and community-based social work, she brings a strengths-based, systems-oriented approach to supporting program staff and partners. Outside of work, Jenny enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time outside with the people she loves.

Samantha Higgs is the Capacity and Outreach Manager at Amplify, where she builds and maintains partnerships that expand sex education across schools and community organizations in the Tulsa area. Samantha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University in 2014 and a Master’s degree in the same field in 2017. She joined Amplify in November 2020 as the Capacity and Outreach Coordinator after working as a Health Education Specialist at Youth Services of Tulsa, where she provided sexual health education and helped young people connect with clinics for their care. She has also worked alongside individuals with disabilities and mental illness, and has served as secretary of the Tulsa Health and Education Coalition since 2018. In 2018, she received the Rising Star Award from Oklahoma State University’s College of Human Sciences. Samantha believes young people deserve the right to know about their bodies and make fully informed decisions about their future. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, running, and grabbing a dirty chai at her favorite Tulsa coffee shops.

Maggie joined Amplify in June 2023 as a Community Engagement Fellow through the Tulsa Service Year program, before officially joining the team as a Training and Outreach Coordinator. They graduated from Tulane University in May 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies and an undergraduate certificate in Gender Based Violence. As a (mostly) lifelong Oklahoman, Maggie is excited to be back in their home state and hopes to work with the Amplify team and partners to make Oklahoma more welcoming and affirming for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. Outside of work, she enjoys baking new desserts, watching movies, and going to local bookstores despite having a to-read list that’s 150 books long!
