Parents and caregivers of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) often want to feel more confident when talking with their young person about sexual health. This workshop is designed specifically with the IDD community in mind and offers a supportive space to explore common questions, including whether open conversations about sex encourage sexual activity and how to help a young person understand healthy and unhealthy relationships. Participants will address common barriers to these conversations and learn practical strategies to communicate clearly, openly, and effectively at home.
